Terms of service
Who we are
Merido is operated by Merido Technologies Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company no. 17323079, registered office 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA. Contact: hello@merido.co.uk.
What Merido is — and what it is not
Merido is a personal finance tool. It organises and presents information about your own money, based on data you upload or enter, so you can see your savings, spending, and upcoming renewals.
Merido does not provide financial advice. Nothing in the app is a personal recommendation to buy, sell, switch, or hold any financial product. Merido Technologies Ltd is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, does not hold client money, and does not initiate payments. Information in the app is provided for general information only; before making financial decisions, consider taking advice from an authorised financial adviser. Because we are not a regulated firm, the protections of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme and the Financial Ombudsman Service do not apply to your use of Merido.
Your account
You must be at least 18 and a UK resident to use the early preview. Keep your sign-in details confidential; you are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time from the app, which deletes your data as described in our privacy notice.
Your data and our accuracy
Merido works on data you supply. We do our best to parse and present it accurately, but we depend on the accuracy and completeness of what you upload — figures in Merido (including savings calculations and renewal dates) may be incomplete or wrong, and you should not rely on them as the sole basis for financial decisions. Always check important figures against your bank or provider.
Acceptable use
Only upload data that is yours or that you are entitled to use. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, disrupt it, reverse engineer it, or use it to break the law.
Early access
The early preview is provided free of charge, as-is, and may change, break, or be withdrawn at any time. We may add paid plans later; if we do, we will tell you clearly in advance, and these terms will be updated with the pricing, renewal, reminder, and cancellation rights required by UK consumer law before anything is charged.
If you join the early-access waitlist, we store the email address you give us and use it to invite you when a place opens and to administer early access. Joining creates no account and costs nothing, and it commits neither of us to anything: we do not promise you a place or a date, and you are free to ignore the invitation when it arrives. You can come off the list at any time by replying to any email we send you, or by writing to privacy@merido.co.uk. Our privacy notice explains what we store, how long we keep it, and how withdrawal works.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses arising from financial decisions you make, from inaccuracies in data you supply, or from use of the early preview, which is provided without charge and without warranties beyond those required by law.
Ending or changing the service
You can stop using Merido and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. We may update these terms; if we make material changes we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction (if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there).
