Merido recognises this format automatically, so there's nothing you need to configure. Import the file as it downloads, without opening or editing it first.

Troubleshooting

Merido won't read the file

The format menu also offers Large print PDF and PDF, and starts on PDF in a browser. Generate the statement again with CSV selected.

You need more than a year of history

Each export covers at most a year. Run it again for the next year, or download a single month instead. In the app, use Monthly statements by year. In a browser, use the year list under Statements and documents.

You used Export transactions on the Transaction feed tab

That's a different, uncertified export with its own filename (feed_export_…). Merido reads it too, but Statements and documents is the more direct route and matches the steps here.

Other Starling download options

The format menu also offers PDF and Large print PDF. For getting your transaction history into Merido, CSV is the one to pick.

You don’t always need a custom range. In the app, Current month to date, Last 3 full months and Last 6 full months are one-tap shortcuts, and Monthly statements by year lists every month back to when the account opened. In a browser, the year list under Statements and documents does the same.

The Transaction feed tab in a browser has its own Export option, marked These are not certified statements. It produces a similarly shaped file with one extra column, Tags. Statements and documents is the more direct route and the one these steps use.

These steps were checked on a joint account and a personal account, in both the app and a browser. Both work the same way for either account type.

These steps were checked in the iPhone app on iOS 26.6.1, and in Chrome on macOS. The Android app hasn’t been checked, so some labels may differ there, particularly the sharing step at the end.
