Exporting via browser

  1. Log in to your Hargreaves Lansdown account in a browser. You'll land on My accounts & dealing.
  2. In the Accounts table, select the account you want, such as Stocks & Shares ISA.
  3. Check that the STOCKS tab is selected. The account opens on this tab.
  4. Under the table of investments, select Download, next to PDF version, to save account-summary.csv.

Merido recognises this format automatically, so there's nothing you need to configure. Import the file as it downloads, without opening or editing it first.

Troubleshooting

Your file is called portfolio-summary.csv

That is a different download. Hargreaves Lansdown puts a Download link under more than one table, and two of them save portfolio-summary.csv. The one on Portfolio overview lists your accounts and their totals. The one on an account's TRANSACTION HISTORY tab lists its transactions. Merido needs account-summary.csv, from Download on the account's STOCKS tab.

You have several files with the same name

Every account saves as account-summary.csv, so your browser adds a number to later downloads. The first line of each file names the account it came from.

Other Hargreaves Lansdown download options

Next to Download are Print page and PDF version. For getting your investments into Merido, Download is the one to pick, because it saves the CSV.

Each account exports separately, from its own page. Repeat the steps for each account you want in Merido.

The file shows what the account holds at the moment you download it. To update the account in Merido later, download a fresh file and import that.

This guide has no steps for the Hargreaves Lansdown app. The app had no export option when it was checked on 5 Oct 2026.

These steps were checked in Chrome on a Mac, on a Stocks & Shares ISA. A Junior Stocks & Shares ISA produces the same file. Other account types, such as a pension, haven’t been checked.
