How to export your Barclays transactions to CSV

Exporting via browser
- Go to barclays.co.uk and select Log in.
- Confirm your ID with Mobile PINsentry in the Barclays app or a PINsentry card reader, then select Log in to Online Banking.
- Under the account you want to export, select Show recent transactions.
- Next to Transactions, select Download & export.
- Under What do you want to export?, choose Custom date range.
- Under Date Range, enter your from and to dates.
- Under Export file format, select .CSV. The menu starts on .PDF, so you'll need to change it.
- Select Download transactions to save data.csv.

Merido recognises this format automatically, so there's nothing you need to configure. Import the file as it downloads, without opening or editing it first.
Troubleshooting
You got a PDF instead of a CSV
The Export file format menu starts on .PDF, so it's easy to leave unchanged. Download the file again with .CSV selected.
The dialog won't accept your start date
Barclays only exports the last five years. An earlier start date shows Date couldn't be before with the earliest allowed date. The download stays disabled until your start date is within range.
A transaction you can see online is missing from the file
Check the range you exported. Today, Last 7 days and Last 30 days only cover recent transactions, so choose Custom date range for anything older.
Other Barclays download options
The same dialog can also export .PDF, .QBO and .OFX files. For getting your transaction history into Merido, .CSV is the format to pick.
Each account exports separately from its own transactions view. Current and savings accounts produce the same file format, so repeat the steps for each account you want in Merido.
This guide has no steps for the Barclays app because the app cannot export a CSV. It only provides PDF statements, so the export has to happen in Online Banking in a browser.
